Creation Station: A Self-Guided Creative Workshop

Enjoy a self-guided creative workshop!

2 hours Location Miranda Class size 1 to 8 guests   $15 - $35 ($15 for Platform 1 - BYO; $35 for Platforms 2-5)

Drop in, take a seat, and choose what you feel like making.
Creation Station is our relaxed, self-guided creative session where you can pick a project from our menu, grab your materials, and create at your own pace. No formal class, no experience needed, and absolutely no pressure to be “good at art.”
Come on your own for a little creative downtime, bring a friend, or get a group together and make an afternoon of it.
Choose your creative project...
Our Creation Station menu includes a rotating selection of projects such as junk journalling, mini houses, acrylic painting, and watercolour painting, with everything you need supplied.
Projects start from $35 and include a simple guide plus the materials you’ll need to get creating.
Already have something you're working on? You can also bring your own project and use our studio space for two hours for $15.
There’ll also be a few off-track projects available from time to time, so ask us what else is at the station when you arrive.
How it works...
PICK A PROJECT → TAKE A SEAT → GET CREATIVE
This isn't a structured class. We'll get you set up, show you where everything is, and help if you get stuck, but otherwise, the time is yours.
Stay for up to two hours, work at your own pace, and enjoy having a dedicated space to actually make something instead of just saving another idea to Pinterest.
Tea, coffee, and water are available, and you're welcome to BYO if you'd like to turn it into your own little paint-and-sip or craft catch-up.
Perfect for...
  • A solo creative date
  • Catching up with a friend
  • Getting out of the group chat
  • Trying a new hobby without committing to a class
  • Finally finishing that project that's been sitting at home.

  • 5/5 from Jenny Gallagher, attended Oct 2026: The great thing about this class is that you get Ash's enthusiasm plus uninterrupted space and time to craft. I worked on making some ceramic house lanterns and loved the space. I had some time at the end so I worked on my junk journal. Having started it at a Creation Stations session I am quite addicted now. Creation Stations is great for someone like me - newly retired and needing to get out and be with other people - and I think it would be fabulous for parents who need to have some time and space to be able to work on their craft.
  • 5/5 from Jenny Gallagher, attended Oct 2026: I really enjoyed it - it's so nice to have two hours to focus on your craft. There were four 'stations' or options - two different painting ones, a mini house one and junk journallng. I went for junk journalling because I'd never done it and I'd never even heard of it until I enrolled in Creation Stations. You didn't have to bring a thing - there were all kinds of materials from feathers to gorgeous patterned papers to beautiful stamp with a rainbow range of coloured inkpads. Ash was really friendly and welcoming and was ready to help or give you time to work on your own. I think I have developed a new hobby and will certainly be back to Creation Stations.
